Learn to Knit Cuff Down Socks with Martha: 4 Weeks

One of our MOST popular classes-Sock knitting! Step into the world of sock knitting with this class focused on the classic top-down method. You'll learn how to cast on at the cuff, shape the heel and toe and finish with a seamless fit. We'll cover techniques like turning the heel, picking up stitches and using double-pointed or circular needles. By the end, you'll have the skills to knit cozy, custom socks from the top down.

Skill Level: Confident Beginner

Perfect for those who have some experience knitting and have done a few basic projects. This is a perfect class if you are looking for the perfect gift idea to make for everyone. They are like chips, you cant make just one pair.

Patterns Provided:

• DK Weight Vanilla Socks : Free pattern by Crazy Sock Lady Designs

Required Materials:

• 100 gm DK weight yarn
• 32” or 40” circular needle 3.25 mm with a flexible cord or 6" double pointed needles 3.25mm

Recommended Supplies:

• Stitch markers
• Gathering Yarns The Farmer
• Noro Sock Yarn
• Opal 6 Ply
• ChiaoGoo or KnitPro Needles

Class Notes:

• ALL of our classes are IN PERSON only.
• Preparation: Be sure to come prepared and ready to start the class when you arrive. Use the attached class prep checklist to be ready to get the absolute most out of your class at Three Bags Full.
• Evening Classes: If the class is held in the evening, note that the shop closes at 5:00 PM. Someone will be there ~10 minutes before class starts to open up for the evening
