Learn the basics of knitting while creating a classic dishcloth. With clear, step-by-step guidance from an experienced instructor, you'll build confidence and quickly be ready to move on to increase your skill level.
Discover how to:
- Hold knitting needles comfortably
- Master basic stitches: cast on, knit, purl, mattress stitch, etc.
- Maintain even tension
- Increase and decrease stitches to shape your projects
Patterns Provided:
- Dishcloth: Free Pattern provided by Linda
- Headband: Broken Rib Headband Free Pattern provided by Linda
Materials Needed:
Dishcloth:
- 50g cotton yarn
- 5.0 mm knitting needles Single Point 10 inch length
Headband:
- Approximately 70 yds/46 m of bulky weight yarn
- 5.0 mm knitting needles
- Darning needle
Recommended Supplies:
- Dishcloth: Sudz Cotton
- Headband: Sirdar Jewelspun, Berroco Vintage Chunky, Highland Alpaca Chunky
- Knitting Needles: KnitPro Dreamz or Chiaogoo
Class Notes:
- ALL of our classes are IN PERSON only.
- You will receive a class preparation checklist when you register for class, so that you can get the most out of your class time.
- Evening Classes: If the class is held in the evening, note that the shop closes at 5:00 PM. Someone will be there ~10 minutes before class starts to open up for the evening.
