July 2026 Calendar 🐑

We’ve been busy this July! We still have another Knit Night and a lot more planned for the coming months too. Stay tuned, so you don’t miss a thing!

What a summer it’s already been!

We have indeed been busy around the shop, and if you’ve been in to see us, you’ll know what I mean. Brian and Anne have been building shelves, moving furniture, and reorganizing yarn like you wouldn’t believe.

We’ve re-arranged some of our favourites and added extra storage for inventory so we can showcase the wonderful samples we’ve had knit over the years. It’s so nice to be able to see a real-life example of how the different kinds of fibre can work in available patterns. Although it has made my WIP list even longer than it was a few months ago.

We’ve almost nailed down our Fall classes schedule. The talented TBF teachers have enjoyed their summer off, but they’re already cooking up new projects to help you create and learn. Stay tuned for our announcement and pre-enrolment in August. The first group of classes will begin the second week of September.

Coming up in August

We started a Knit-Along-Along last week, following along with Drea Renee Knits, Spincycle Yarns, and Farmer’s Daughter Fibers Antipodes sweater.

Every year, before the Rhinebeck festival, Andrea Mowry creates a sweater pattern and encourages her online knitting community to knit along with her to be ready for the festival in the Fall. You can get more info in Andrea’s Ravelry forum, or the Spincycle Facebook group.

If you purchase your Antipodes yarn here at Three Bags Full, we’ll pay for the pattern to help you get motivated. We encourage anyone who’d like some moral support during the knit along to come on in to the shop, either during our Thursday Knit Night, or on Sunday afternoons.

If a sweater is a little intimidating, but you’d like to play along, we found a beautiful Noro cowl and fingerless gloves pattern that will showcase the colour changing yarn allllmost as well as the Antipodes.

Black Sheep Black Sheep, Have you any Wool?

Yes sir! Yes Sir!

Our instructors are excited about sharing their favourite fibre art (or arts) with you; we are proud of the warm and inviting spaces we have prepared for your arrival, and we are confident that the projects and lessons you will work on will support you in this sometimes scary process of learning a whole new craft or levelling up a difficult skill.

And you’ve taken the leap! You’ve looked at all of the classes we have available this term, and you’ve found one that you’d like to take in a time you have available. The hardest part is done, some might say.

Now you have some homework to do before class starts. Take a look at the checklist below and make sure you are ready, so that you can get the most out of your TBF class experience.

Lots happening in the shop as we gear up for the busiest time of year around here. That’s not to say it hasn’t been a busy summer, and we’re not done yet!
